Protecting Critical Infrastructure is Protecting Our Global Security

By Dave Forbes and Kyle Miller

As Super Intelligence‑enabled cyberattacks accelerate the speed and sophistication of intrusions, adversaries are actively exploiting vulnerabilities across operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS) environments. These systems are increasingly connected, expanding the attack surface and creating heightened risks for mission failure, operational shutdowns, physical damage, or even loss of life. Protecting them isn’t just an IT priority. It’s a national and economic imperative.

That’s why Booz Allen is proud to serve as a founding partner in Anthropic’s Critical Infrastructure Defense Program (CIDP) to strengthen and safeguard our nation’s most critical systems, while advancing responsible AI innovation.

This commitment builds on our longstanding work across the critical infrastructure community, including extensive experience securing, assessing, and monitoring critical infrastructure for commercial and government customers worldwide across all 16 critical infrastructure sectors.

We continue to invest heavily in this mission area. In our OT Cybersecurity Lab, we replicate real-world OT environments to evaluate technologies, test cybersecurity approaches, and validate solutions against realistic operational challenges. Our recent testing of frontier LLMs in this lab demonstrated the speed at which agentic cyber threats can readily cause real-world consequences and identified the defensive measures that could be used to protect these critical systems from advancing threats.

This combination of operational experience, technical investment, and hands-on testing is what Booz Allen brings to the Critical Infrastructure Defense Program. As a founding member, we’ll apply our deep OT engineering expertise and leading cyber defense capabilities to help organizations apply Super Intelligence defenses against emerging Super Intelligence‑driven threats while enhancing the resilience, security, and performance of critical infrastructure.

Together with Anthropic and other industry leaders in the CIDP, we’ll raise awareness of the unique risks facing critical infrastructure and pursue joint research focused on practical, actionable ways to improve preparedness and resilience. We look forward to collaborating with Anthropic and members of the CIDP to translate research into real-world outcomes and drive meaningful progress in protecting critical systems against the threats of today and tomorrow.
